Student’s primary focus used to be solely on education and very little on sports in the past. Nowadays, sports not only contribute to physical fitness, but also help students develop leadership skills, work as a team, and problem-solving abilities, contributing to a better mental health of the student during their education, which in turn leads to better comprehension and focus. Because of this, we place equal importance on sports at our school. In fact, our campus has a large playground exclusively for our students, which is extremely rare in the city.To ensure that our students receive proper physical training & coaching, we have certified trainers & coaches. We offer professional sports training & coaching in the following areas:
Cricket
Cricket is a trill both to watch & to play and its importance outshines then any sporting event. We can’t escape the cricket fever that runs in the young blood in India. Right from an early age, whether a boy or a girl they love to hold the bat in their hand & stand in front of the wickets to pose against a ball streaming towards them to be hit. In this regard, our school emphasizes cricket coaching which provides children with a variety of skills needed to develop a lifelong love for the sport which in turn is been inclusive and provides a wealth of opportunities to take part.
Football
Football in DMPS is an excellent idea to improve Childs play, especially permeability which is about moving arms and legs, and improving social skills which require cooperating with other players and playing as a team. It also increases creative play for the students. It boosts self-esteem, builds teamwork and coordination with spatial awareness.
Volleyball
Volleyball in DMPS is in a league of its own. Providing students with an opportunity for lessons that not many sports can, comes with competition, education & fun play. It brings students together and helps them form inseparable bonds. From staying healthy to building notable character skills which include enhancing hand-eye coordination, keeping the heart and body in excellent shape, building speed, balance & flexibility, developing networking skills, and amplifying aerobic abilities.
Athletics of all Kind
Children in DMPS experience athletics from a very young age. They participate in athletic activities as soon as they can run or throw. Athletic events are all-season and allow athletes to compete alone against other athletes, no matter what their skill level is, it teaches children critical life skills like dedication, commitment, self-discipline, teamwork, etc
Kabaddi
Kabaddi in DMPS is one of the most celebrated sports where children like to go back to their roots. The excitement and zest you experience while playing this sport is way more than just mere words can explain. It is not just the thrill of this sport but many undeniable benefits like stamina, speed, agility, multitasking abilities, and enhancing your presence of mind. One can reap by indulging in kabaddi has led to a rise in demand for this sport to a massive extent.
Kho-Kho
Kho-kho is a traditional Indian sport that dates back to ancient India. Kho-kho in DMPS helps in the social and mental development of the child. Kho-kho will make students not forget their roots of tradition in sports in India. It also keeps well, strong, motivated, enthusiastic, and young. It helps children to come off depression, anxiety, and stress and increases self-esteem
Badminton
The unique qualities of badminton in DMPS make it accessible & enjoyable for children. It mainly improves concentration in children by improving their focus. It helps them stay fit, maintain a good physique, and improve muscle strength and flexibility. It is a total body workout for students which has ample opportunities outside.
